What could be nicer in the merry month of May than to head off for a few days or sit down to prepare for an unforgettable holiday? Destination: France’s Île de Beauté.
This summer two issues of COTE Magazine carry us off to sublime beaches tucked among ragged rocks under a splendid sun, with the bewitching scents of nature wafting through. Corsica! We hope to make the trip every year now. By way of preparation, we introduce you to a few hotels whose blissful luxury is matched only by the friendliness of the welcome. There’s plenty of fun to be had, with fairs, festivals, exhibitions and cultural events such as the aptly named Calvi on the Rocks, the Festival des Arts Vivants in Bonifacio in July, and a festival of short films in June in Sartène, where until 28 June there’s also an exhibition about Théodore de Neuhoff, King of Corsica. In Ajaccio, a look around the Maison Bonaparte is of course a must, while amateur actors will sign up for Théâtre dans les Quartiers from 3 April to 4 July. In Bastia, until 5 July, the Dante Alighieri and the Atelier Vulcano are showing films themed on Naples. So you’ve a wide range of festivities to choose from. Happy landing!
