For the past 13 years Arlesians of all ages have looked forward to this four-day festival each year, when fun and games take over the streets of the city centre and bring enchantment to the run-up to Christmas. It starts at 7pm on 21 December with Jardin des Anges (garden of angels), a magnificent show on Place de la République. There are 80 shows in all, performed for free by 22 troupes. Be amazed at their acrobatic exploits, showers of sparks, puppet shows, music, illuminations, firework displays and more. The high points of this family entertainment are the illuminations at the Roman theatre and the fire dance show in the amphitheatre.
