In cooperation with the Centre Pompidou, the Vasarely Foundation is presenting twenty works of art selected for their relationship to optical-kinetic art in France and its development in the 1960’s. During that period, many artists from South America, particularly Venezuela and Argentina, and others from Eastern Europe, congregated in Paris around Victor Vasarely and contributed significantly to the spread of this art form. The exhibition presents a dialogue between two continents and two ways of looking at dynamism, light, and vision in general.
