Sextant Et Plus at the Friche and artists' space La Compagnie have joined forces to pay homage to Marseille photographer Dominique Piazza, inventor of the picture postcard. In these days of photo messaging and Snapchat artists of all persuasions have come back to the basics of communication. Texts, images, sound, installations and various combinations of these express the miracle of «remote presence». Information, knowledge and emotions are transmitted, in real time or by slower routes, by a whole gamut of techniques, codes and referents..
