Contemporary art and humour make a great double act. Benjamin Vautier practises his art without taking himself too seriously and lets us ponder the aptness of a sentence or word. Ben still has some work ahead of him if we are to understand his project: he wants to sign everything that hasn't been signed, "Holes, mysterious boxes, kicks, God, chickens, etc.". Everything and nothing, which he does so well, with a touch of poetry that's pared-down, unusual, mischievous yet thoughtful.
