For the 23rd year running, the d'Albertas family invite us into their 18th-century listed gardens in the countryside near Aix. Some 160 nurserymen (and women) and garden specialists from France and elsewhere in Europe will draw you into their enthusiasm for botanical diversity, the art of gardening and the myriad delights of rare and Mediterranean plants. There's live entertainment, art exhibitions, practical workshops, musical interludes and an open-air restaurant. Among the exhibitors is Marseille mosaicist Vanina Mercury with her garden decorations and patio tables in pâte de verre mosaic, concrete and ceramic.
