Taking the wide view.

Who hasn’t stood enraptured before a landscape or townscape? That spontaneous urge to seize a scene and hold it – paint it, photograph it, film it – is something we all share. MuCEM, in partnership with the Musée d’Art et d’Histoire in Geneva, has taken this idea and put together a vast programme of talks, workshops, exhibitions and outings. On the educational side there are beginners’ lessons in pinhole photography and how to use multimedia techniques. On the outings, participants are immersed in the question “What is seeing?“
