Turner and colour

At the Hôtel de Caumont arts centre this summer, Fondation Culturespaces is showing over a hundred William Turner masterpieces, both large canvases and watercolours. The focus is on Turner’s lifelong obsession with light. Water and its reflections, from the Thames to Venice, particularly inspired him; his treatment of them made him the precursor of the Impressionists.
