The couturier’s close collaborator, the elegant Jean-Pascal Hesse, has published an anthology with a preface by Marisa Berenson. With Pierre Cardin’s career entering its 70th year, Hesse brings to life for us the key moments in the master couturier’s life. Illustrated with pictures from 1950 to today, the book pays homage to Cardin’s ubiquitous brand, present today in 110 countries. As well as a fine album, it is also a creative work that accompanies the indefatigable couturier in his daily life. Cardin’s futuristic, visionary creative world has cut a swathe through fashion, accessories and furniture for two-thirds of a century. Hats off.
