The Festival Jazz des Cinq Continents is proving its extraordinary vitality with dozens of concerts in Marseille and all around the Bouches-du-Rhône department.
This year, as well as spreading to many new venues, the celebrated jazz festival is demonstrating its generous spirit by offering a number of concerts free. A strategy that gives added weight to the festival and joy to music fans, who can head out into the countryside and discover some amazing places at the same time. Since April and right to the year’s end, there’s music to be heard in Vauvenargues, Cornillon, Istres, Ceyreste, Pélissanne, Allauch, Tarascon and other parts. In Marseille itself, super venues include the InterContinental Hôtel-Dieu hotel, the Bagatelle gardens, the Canebière, the Alhambra, the park of the Maison Blanche, the roof of the Friche Belle de Mai, La Moline and the Centre de la Vieille Charité.
