This new place a stone’s throw from the Vieux-Port is a delight for foodies and music lovers alike. It’s a real piano bar with a quietly festive atmosphere, intoxicating melodies from talented pianists from Tuesday to Saturday, and outstanding French cuisine. Charles Barthélemy, artistic director of the Marseille Rockisland festival, draws up an eclectic music programme. The menu is thanks to Damien Delgado, chef of La Poule Noire, and the décor to architect Gérard Martens. The sumptuous bar, indoor balcony and ceiling mirrors take us back to the ‘thirties and shades of the Great Gatsby. Barman Baptiste Evrard, formerly of the Carry Nation, mixes marvellous cocktails. What’s not to love?
