Taera Monte-Carlo
Venezuela on your fork

Venezuela on your fork. On 12 October, a pop-up restaurant plunks itself down on the patio of the Hôtel de Paris, Monte Carlo. Venezuelan chef Victoria Vallenilla, who heads the kitchen at the Coya Monte-Carlo, takes you to the heart of her home country’s culinary traditions. Her cheerfully creative take on classic Venezuelan dishes tells a richly inventive story. Try the arepa, a cornmeal cake with a fish, meat or vegetable filling. Artsy decor with wall paintings by South American painter Viviana Grondona and a playlist of the great Venezuelan singer-songwriter Simon Diaz. In short, everything you need for an escapist lunch.
