Calme et vue plongeante sur la Provence depuis votre terrasse privée.

A new high-luxury ‘villa’ was all that was needed to take this already remarkable place into an almost supernatural dimension. Let yourself be tempted by a remarkable sensory experience.

Here’s a wonderful idea for a summer break between Aix-en-Provence and the Lubéron national park. The Château La Coste estate, renowned for the excellence of its wines and the 30 contemporary artworks in its grounds and vine fields, has recently opened a luxury hotel and spa, Villa La Coste. The exclusive and refined 5-star hotel, designed by Marseille-based Tangram Architectes, boasts 28 luxurious Villa Suites, a bar, a library and two restaurants. One of these, the Louison, is in the hands of Gérald Passédat of the 5-star Petit Nice in Marseille.

Totally enticing
The huge, ultra-contemporary villa suites, built with extreme attention to detail but respecting Provençal traditions, offer quiet privacy. Each has its own terrace with a breath-taking view of the Provençal countryside. The bedrooms feature soft tones, light wood and marble, glass and bare stone. The hotel’s public areas, the library and the bar, where the wood panelling is hung with artworks, bestow the same sense of quiet calm. Gérald Passédat’s gastronomic cuisine, with fine fare from land and sea, is in perfect harmony with the Villa’s ambience. The estate’s organic kitchen garden supplies most of the restaurants’ vegetables, while wild fennel, thyme and mint come straight from the garrigue and honey made on the estate is used in the ice creams and pollen biscuits. This harmony of taste is to be found in the bar and the Salon as well as the Louison gastronomic restaurant. The final piece completing this spectacular jigsaw puzzle is the spa, due to open shortly for the benefit of Villa La Coste’s privileged guests.
