Once upon a time a farmer’s son started a business in the organic/ethical sector. Then one day he came upon a 16th-century castle. When Didier Perréol, founder and CEO of Ekibio, saw Massillan he realised he could share his love of all that’s true, good and beautiful with demanding, eco-conscious gourmets. Here luxury and respect for nature speak the same language. The château has been superbly renovated and the food is just delicious. Chef Frédéric Bourlot surprises us at each mouthful, as do the wines he selects. To top it all, the region’s top chefs come to give cookery classes and you can visit the 3500m2 kitchen garden, the castle’s crowning glory.
