Provençal jewellers Pellegrin & Fils recently opened their fifth shop, designed by René Herrou of the Nombre d’Or architects' studio in Paris. Luxury abounds in this spacious store where tribute is paid to Napoleon III style, as befits the family tradition (it was in 1840 that François-Arnaud Pellegrin set up the first jewellery store in Marseille). The new shop brings modernity into the mix: the Napoleon III mouldings and lozenges are made from glass fibre rather than wood as in the four other shops. The innovative rotating showcases and clever use of light enhance the sparkle of the jewels. You'll find prestige timewear brands here as well as the firm's timeless jewellery collections and its trendy By P & F line.
