Event designer and decorator Fanny Piriou-Desvignes was asked to do the scenography for this year’s Vivre Côté Sud lifestyle fair with nature’s inspiration as the theme. Nature has inspired our creatives with shapes and colours: think deep green, moss green, olive green and emerald. The exhibitors are using recycled or recyclable natural materials; ecodesign, upcycling and preserving local skills are also on the bill. On the foodie side the focus is on good, simple fare in season, heirloom varieties and neglected herbs. In the garden design section the landscapers are keeping to local species. There are 8 theme areas and 250 exhibitors in all, with coaching sessions in decoration and garden design, cookery demos and talk shops.
