More than just a new decor, La Plage du Martinez has been transformed into a chic boat deck with chef Jean Imbert at the helm. Nothing has been left to chance, from Bernardaud crockery to Biot glassware and embossed leather coasters, reviving a timelessly charming nautical spirit. Brass, lacquered wood and touches of deep blue unfurl between the interior and terrace, with a view to the famous pontoon. The chef wanted to capture this mood even in the copper and terracotta tableware. The cuisine is authentic, with sunny accents and local, fresh ingredients such as grandma’s stuffed tomato or courgette flowers harvested that morning and served at lunchtime, stuffed with ricotta cheese. “I want to share a story about the Riviera and its products while getting off the beaten track,” says this star chef on the French gastronomic scene.
